The day I Met the death Angel..

Met the death Angel.

Since my childhood I have been taught lessons in ‘Karma’. Born and bought up in a Jain household it was like an inseparable part of my parents’ upbringing. Especially, when, I come from a family that has 11 individuals who have renounced the world and entered into monkhood. Some of these 11 monks even sold their Ferraris and some gave away a lot of money as charity that they had earned in their lifetime before accepting monkhood. I wish they could have thought of giving away that money to me for business. I was always taught that a bad Karma will always bring a bad response to me in life and that when I meet my death angel he will calculate it and pronounce me imprisonment in hell. As a kid I was scared of ghosts and mom always told me that the death angel is very terrifying in his looks. I don’t know why the Hindu mythology is so gender biased, why can’t the death angel be a woman rather than a man? Well that can be discussed later I guess. So, being a kid I always did things like a good parent fearing and ghost fearing kid would do. I always went to the temple. I asked God for forgiveness of my sins. I did all the procedures of the Hindu ceremonial worships at the temple. I did all this perfectly, Until, One day I was in the midst of a list of questions on the existence of God and the curiosity to find the truth behind the idea of God. Yes, I believe God is nothing but an idea. An idea so deeply planted in the brains of our existence since ages, that majority of our population still believes in the idea and still lives in the world of the fairy tale named God. I am quite impressed by that person who first developed this idea of God and planted it in the brains of people. He must have been an amazing con-man or a great sales man to sell this idea to so many people so easily. He has really done a brilliant job. I can term it as a master-stroke. However, since ages there has been debate on all this. I have been part of such debates and always had luck to be on the winning side.

Last night after a long and hectic day I came home. Mom and dad as usual were doing their routine stuff. Dad was watching TV and mom was studying our religious books. I had my dinner and was just sitting on the sofa relaxing and watching the political news on TV with dad and discussing stuff about Indian politics. Mom was also watching TV in between and made a comment “Modi is popular because of the Karmas of his past life. He will win if the Karmas of his past life reflect so.” Mom has the habit of linking everything to Karmas and religion. Even the slightest thing happens because of Karmas is her philosophy. “Mom, past life has nothing to do with what happens in the present life. All that is just a myth so that no one does bad deeds and the balance in the society remains perfect and the human existence isn’t at risk.” This was my response to what mom said. My mom is a very keen on always winning arguments with me and this is where I get the habit of brushing and polishing my debating skills. After a long debate with mom, as usual dad interfered and interrupted the debate putting a pause on it for may be some days now. With a tired body, brain and soul I went to sleep. I don’t remember the exact time but it was long past midnight and suddenly my sleep was interrupted. I had this feeling that someone is sitting on my chair in my room. I opened my eyes and with the small light that my mobile could render I tried to look around in my room. I did see a silhouette on my  chair. My laptop was on and that silhouette was staring at my laptop. It was may be reading one of my articles. I did not make any noise. Our house is in an area where house break-ins and thefts are common. The first reaction my brain could develop was that this was a theif who has entered my house and I should attack him. I got out of the bed without making a sound, I kept the mobile away, not to attract attention with its light and tried to reach for the iron rod I always keep at the right side of my bed as a precaution in case of a break-in. I looked for the rod but it was too dark so could not see it. I tried touching the floor and sensing where it might be. Suddenly my chair turned towards me. I knew I had no chances now and as I was about to shout the silhouette stood up. It had a stick in its hand. In the dark I could not make it out but I realised it was the same iron rod that belonged to me. “Looking for this Mr.Patrawala.” I was now very sure I am going to be attacked in the next few seconds and the only last thoughts I had was I would land up in the hospital in the morning and my house will be robbed. I had shut my eyes to get the blow on my head. I was ready to get hit. “Open your eyes. Mr.Patrawala you don’t have to fear me.” I opened my eyes. I looked at the silhouette again, now slowly sitting on my chair. He snapped his fingers and the tube light was on. He then gestured me to sit on my bed. I sat on my bed and observed carefully as to who this man was and deriving possibilities as to why he was here in the first place at this time of the night. He was wearing a black versace suit. Had a black rolex on his wrist. Black shoes and I bet the socks were black too. Hair jelled up properly. Not even a small lock of his hair was out of place. All in all this guy was completely perfect in everything. I wish I would have been slim even I would prefer wearing such clothing once at least. He was sitting very comfortably in a stylish manner on my chair. He was holding a tablet pc in one hand and he was constantly swiping through the screen while I was looking at him. After a few more swipes he locked the screen of the tablet and kept it away in his jacket pocket. Now he looked at me and in a very confident deep voice he spoke, “So, Mr.Kunal Dhiren Patrawala, that’s how you like to be called right? I know you have a lot of questions in your mind and you have even worked out the probability of me being a theif. You were looking for this iron rod to hit on my head right?” I just cleared my throat. “Well, at this time of night if you find a stranger in your room, who is staring at your laptop, which is a valuable thing, given the fact that you stay in the vicinity that robbers prefer to hunt every night, I could only come up with the conclusion that you are a thief and I should attack you and call the police.” This was my answer. He looked at me and smiled. “I am not a thief Kunal. I am a murderer.” So he was a murderer. The next time I am going to remind my self to even keep a loaded gun in the drawer of the side table of my bed. I was still confused as to his motives to be present in my room. There was silence in my room. I can call it dead silence. However, I broke the ice and asked him “Fine you are a murderer. What the hell are you doing in my room? Are you here to kill me?” A murderer could only kill and there was no other possibility of him being here for some other reason for sure. He was calm and composed so it was clear he wasn’t hiding from the police or he wasn’t a fugitive. He was here to kill me. “You have a inquisitive, curious brain that wants answers to everything and till you do not find the answers your brain will not be at peace and so will not be your soul.” “Well that’s true. You have got your homework done on me. You have gathered a lot of information about me. But I still am not satisified. Why would anyone want to kill me? I am a simple man. Living a simple life with a simple lifestyle. I have no enemies. At least to my knowledge I have never ever hurt anyone to a level that they want to kill me. So who are you?Why do you wanna kill me?” “Kunal I am the death angel.” “Hahahahahahahahahaha death angel. You? Yeah right then I am Goerge Clooney or I am James Bond.” I was laughing out loud. I was pretty sure mom dad would be coming to my room hearing me laugh so loudly. “Your parents can’t hear you Kunal.” I was stunned. Did this guy just read my mind. “Yes Kunal I read your mind. We angels have many such powers.Your parents are a sleep and they won’t wake up till I am done with my job here. I am here to take away your soul. In your earthly language to kill you. I am here on a mission and till I do not accomplish it I will not be disturbed by any earthly beings.” “Come on now reading minds. Even a psychiatrist can do that, I ain’t a fool to believe you. Is it all that you got to make me believe you are an angel.” He just raised his left palm up in the air and I was suspended in mid- air 5 feet above the bed. I was stunned at this. “What more do you want me to do to make you believe I am who I am?” I could have asked for many more proofs but then I thought why to waste time. I wanted him to come to the point and finsih things. “Kunal I am here because your bad Karmas have summed up to your death. It’s a young age to die but your bad Karmas have led you to this fate.” He said.He was so confident that I knew he won’t budge. A good salesman/conman knows when not to sell his idea. I knew I can’t sell my idea here given the fact that may be I am dealing with Mr.Death Angel here. So I did not waste any time doing all that and came straight to the point.“Aren’t you going to ask me my last wishes? As they always do. Don’t you guys have that tradition?” I just enquired“We have upgraded our methods and also we have made the rules strict. Only Karmas decide who gets the last wishes and who doesn’t.” I was thinking may be my mom was right about the Karma thing but still my brain and my soul wanted enough evidences and I will not go down before putting up one last debate against this Karma thing. He then grabbed my soul out of my body. I don’t exactly know the feeling but my body went totally cold and motionless and I was standing right outside it staring at it. “Gosh!! I am so fat.” “Yes you are.” “Okay at least let me get dressed for the occasion dude. I am dying and I had a dream to die in a perfect manner. Shall I just get dressed up.” By now he might have been frustrated thinking why he took up the job of getting my soul to wherever he was gonna take me. I dressed up in a blue denim jeans and a wite shirt I wore a black denim jacket on it combed my hair and wore my casual shoes. “Look Mr.Death. Can I address you with your first name Mr.Death. Ok if you have powers could you just make me a little slim for my last journey I mean I just want to look perfect man.” “Kunal I told you that you aren’t entitled to any last wishes.” “Who told you this is my wish. I would wish for a huge estate and lot of money and everything for my parents or may be wish for my novel to be published and die famous. This is just a favor a kind gesture I am asking for. You guys believe in good Karmas right. This is a good Karma it will make me smile and making someone smile is a good Karma I know that at least.” He snapped his fingers and I was totally looking like Robert Downey Jr. Just the body not the face. (Of course Robert Downey Jr because I ain’t tall.)  He then took me to our roof and a helicopter landed there. I must have been a VIP on their list. They have come to fetch me in a hellicopter. I was walking with my head held high and looking around. I entered the hellicopter. It was gonna be my first air travel in my life and death time. Yes I forgot to mention, I was dead it was my soul travelling now and it was nothing like described in the scriptures or religious books. It was a modern day travel plan. The death angel handcuffed me before we both entered the hellicopter. ‘Your bad Karmas have forced me to handcuff you. I hope you don’t mind.” “Even if I do there is nothing we can do about it right” He fastened our seat belts and were ready for the flight. While taking off the hellicopter went off balance for a instance. I got scared. “Excuse me. But are you sure you can fly that thing. I mean I would not prefer to die on my first flight.” He looked at me with a quizical look. The death angel looked at me with a look as if telling me ‘dude you are already dead’. “Yeah I know I know I am dead it takes time to get used to to things.I am dead for the first time you see.” He then gestured me to be quiet. I sat quietly. After we took off I could not resist talking so I spoke “Do I get to eat something or may be a cold drink its too hot up here and I am thirsty.” “Souls do not need to eat or drink.” “Well mine does. Come on now I am dead already what difference would it make to you. You just have to snap a finger or may be just swipe your palm in the air and it will be done.” “You are first such soul that isn’t worried that he is dead and what would your family feel and how would things go about without you. Don’t you have any such feeling that you will miss your family or they will miss you. Your friends will miss you. Don’t you have any regrets that you would have lived more. Don’t you want to beg to live and let go your soul and promise to become a good man.Don’t you have any dreams that you have yet not fulfilled.” “Nope. Now can I get my cold drink.” I bluntly said. The cold drink appeared in my hand out of thin air. I was drinking it sip by sip. He then looked at me. I was looking down. The view from above was amazing. I could write a poem or click great pics from here. I bet the angel was reading my thoughts. “Yes that’s true you are a poet and a photographer. I read your poems and saw the pictures you have clicked. I had gone through a lot of stuff in your laptop. I must say amazing articles you are working on.” “Correction ‘I was working on’.” He smiled “It takes time to get used to things.” Now I was smiling at him. “Kunal, are you sad.” “You can read my thoughts right, then why ask me. Do you think I am sad to even the slightest degree?” He knew I wasn’t sad at all. All I was feeling was curious and amazed. “I am wondering, why aren’t you sad? I have been on this duty for centuries now, but I have never come across anyone like you. Instead of crying and sobbing you prefer drinking Coke sitting here and enjoying the view out of your window. Even after your death you are composing poems in your mind and thinking about various angles to click pictures from the sky. I mean do you hate life.” “I never hated my life. I loved my life a lot, but then there are some things one can’t control. Death is a scientific process that has to happen. If my existence has come to an end scientifically I should not worry about living anymore. Some bodies live more some live less. It’s a natural phenomenon besides, why change after death? Why should I cry and sob to live again? History has it no one has ever lived again after they die. So why not enjoy death also. Why should I stop writing poems or stop thinking about pictures? Just because now my work won’t be posted anywhere or I won’t get any comments from people about my work it does not mean I should give away my work. I am a writer, learner and a soul. I was scientifically born to do various things and with time I developed a lot of skills. I won’t give up on my hard earned skills just because I am not gonna get any appreciation. No one is going to miss me. No one will die with me. I am going to be all alone in this journey. Friends would cry for a fortnight and get back to their lives. Parents will not be able to digest the fact that their son is gone but they will start living normally may be in a year or so. Nothing in this world would ever stop with my death. Nothing. So why should I worry of the past that my soul has left behind. Instead I prefer enjoying this journey. When I was alive I never got a chance to fly. First we had a lot of financial issues in the house and then when I took up responsibilities I could not get the time to travel a lot. But my death gave me that chance. Dreams are never incomplete. They just find a new soul to enlighten. They just find a new person to fulfill them. They will find a new Kunal for sure somewhere who may do things and fulfill dreams even in a better manner than I do.” There was silence again. We reached our destination. We got out of the helicopter and the Angel snapped his finger and we were in a huge office. It had filing cabinets all over the walls and there were people talking over the phone. Some were filing documentations and reports. Yet some were just snoring away to glory. “So you brought me to typical Indian Death Headquarters right.” “How did you know this is a death headquarter?” “Dude I have eyes and I can read, there that’s the board yelling out the name death headquarters.” We both laughed. “There are certain procedures we have to go through before deciding whether we should hand over you to hell or heaven.” “Well could I get the menu on both.” I giggled. He looked at me and laughed too. “I guess you aren’t afraid of going to hell or heaven. You will enjoy anywhere right?” “I have lived some moments of my life as hell and I know the real hell, the one you guys believe in, wouldn’t be more harsh and difficult to face than what I have faced. Every human being faces this hell before death and ones like me become insensitive towards the actual heaven and hell thing.” He knew what I was talking about. He had my whole life reviewed on that tablet of his. I guess they have a YouTube video of everyone’s life up there. (Generally everyone says after death you go up there. I seriously don’t know why. For the time being up there is what I would also refer to.) “Kunal, we are going to review your case in front of the council of Angels and God himself will be present there. You would be given a right to appoint some pure soul to advocate your case in front of the council.” “By pure soul do you mean the one who believes in God?” He nodded in agreement. “Then I prefer advocating my part of the story on my own. I hope I am allowed to do that.” “Yes you can. But trust me everyone here is in favor of God and you will not win.” “That we will see. If I don’t win I don’t win. I am dead already so it isn’t gonna make any difference to me in any way.” He was looking at me with respect now. “You are every bit they told me you would be. In fact even more than what I had imagined.” “I hope I have not disappointed you in frustrating you.” We both were now laughing. The angel made me sit on the bench outside a room. There were guards waiting there. He gestured them to guard me. “Don’t worry I am not going to run away. Now that you have said God himself is gonna be present in this council I would not miss the chance to win an argument with him.” “They are not here for guarding you Kunal. The notorious person you are they are here to protect us. Your curious brain will lead you to various sections of this office and we know you can create havoc there.” “My reputation precedes my presence here I guess.” He walked inside the room leaving me there. I was as usual bored of sitting there quietly so I started to converse with the guards there. “So you guys got a name or something, or everyone here just calls you guards. Do you guys have numbers like guard one or guard two. Or may be some code names.” Both were standing in attention they just looked at me in a quizzical look and were back again standing in attention looking straight at the wall ahead of us. I stood up. They drew out a magnum pistol and pointed it to me. It wasn’t to kill me but to trap my soul. “No. cool. chill I am not doing anything. I am just curious as to what are you guys staring at, in this wall.” They forcefully made me sit down on the bench. “Do you guys ever get a holiday or may be a coffee break or may be shifts of duties. I mean back there on earth it would be inhuman to work under such conditions.” They again looked at me. Only this time one of them was trying to conceal his laughter. So there I was I tried focusing on talking to him more. After some more general chit chat I had made friends with one of the guards. His name was Ramesh and he was on the guard duty since 10 centuries. The working conditions were inhuman and pathetically tiring. No leaves, no pay, and no breaks, they just had to stand there that’s it. How boring isn’t it? At least they could have got a 50 inch plazma TV fixed there so that they could watch the match or a movie and be entertained on the job. Any way my conversation with the guards was short lived. The death angel came out of the room. He walked towards me and gestured the guards to get back to their original positions. Ramesh shook his hands with me and said “It was pleasure meeting you Kunal. Really you are a funny man.” I hugged him. The death angel was stunned to see this. He gestured me to walk ahead and he took position behind me to escort me to the room. I was escorted in the room and my name was announced. Once things and people settled down in the council room I started observing everyone. It was a huge conference room and there in the center was a luxurious chair which clearly specified that it was someone important sitting there. On the other chairs were different members of the council and each was busy either scribbling something in a file or reading some texts. I was made to stand exactly opposite to the center chair. I was standing there looking at everyone. Everyone was staring back at me with a look of hatred and punishment. I did not mind that though. The death angel came forward and un-cuffed me. “Kunal I am still telling you assign someone to help you.” “You are already helping me my friend. The concern you have for me is enough for me to face things here. The kindness you have shown is really nice on your part. People down there may be hate you for being the death angel but I consider you as a nice man. A man who does his duty with all honesty, dignity and respect and never fails. I admire you and would be happy to be friends with you.” The death Angel was surprised to hear this. There was a hint of tears in his eyes. “People hate me, curse me, they want to stay away from me, not only on earth but even here. To the humans I am a curse and here I am just a servant. There has been no one who ever called me a friend. I am happy to have a friend like you and will always respect our friendship.” I was happy; I just did the one thing I like the most. I made a friend. The person in the center chair opposite to me was looking at me intently and he knew what the death angel and I just conversed. It seemed so from his look. I asked the death angel. “Buddy who is God here?” He pointed that center chair. Seriously? You ought to be kidding me. That’s God? The one whom people fear. The one whom people worship. That is God. But anyway I had nothing to do with the aura he had I never believed in him though. Finally, God gestured everyone to be silent and he spoke. “Kunal Dhiren Patrawala. You have been convicted for a bad karma. You have been brought here before the council to put up your case for a fair trial. If found guilty of the crime you will be sent to hell, an apology from your side however would terminate your term in hell and you can live in heaven with us. You have a right to have some pure soul advocate your case here. But I am informed you have waived that right and you will advocate your own case. In which case I would like to inform you that you will be solely responsible for the final decision we decide here on.”  “Before I proceed with my case here can I just confirm Are you the so called Mr. God?”  There was extreme silence. No one had ever addressed God the way I did, ever. They always called him The Almighty or your highness. To me he was just a con-man. “Yes” the answer was brief, short, simple and stern. One of the angels on the table stood up and started saying “Kunal your crime is not believing in God and always abusing him. Also you have led people into believing in your theories of God not being present at all and misleading them into your path. This is the crime of the highest degree and hence you are subject to 1 million years of rigorous imprisonment in hell for this bad karma. After that the fate of your soul will be decided. You can now prove your case.” “Dude that was great man. Did you just by heart the speech or you rehearsed it so well that you could say that in one stroke man? I loved it. Can we have it once more?” Everyone in the room was now creating commotion saying I should be directly put to hell and I should be taught some manners and all. “Kunal it’s not a joke around here. It’s a serious proceeding. You are already into a lot of trouble. So it will be better if you could maintain discipline and focus on your case.” God said. “Trouble. Dude we humans have trouble as our middle names. The moment each and every one walks out of their houses they have troubles. Someone has troubles from bosses, someone with their car, someone with their health, someone with the lost cricket match. From the smallest to the hugest we have all the issues and troubles every day. We can never be into any deeper trouble than that. I guess you have never lived a life of a human to understand what trouble is; just like that politician who claims he works for the poor, but has never lived the life of a poor person to know his issues. So don’t give me speeches on how deep into trouble I am and how well should I maintain discipline. I don’t believe in you so your discipline isn’t something I abide by.”  An angel stood up in anger and was about to hit me. God gestured him “No stop. Sit down, the defendant has all the right to speak here. You will not take any violent action here.” The angel sat down. I could see a glittering smile on God’s face though. “So you don’t believe in me. Any specific reasons?” “Why should I believe in you can you give me any specific reasons?” “I made the world. I created you guys. I look after you.” “Are you a distant cousin of Rahul Gandhi because he also keeps repeating I did this I did that and I am the one who made India and all. Seriously dude you have done nothing. Your whole existence is nothing but an idea created by human beings. You did not even exist before we did.  So ultimately we created you. You were just a rock before someone from us put some flowers on you and considered you to be holy. It is we who made the procedures and ceremonies to celebrate the idea of your presence and existence. You are nothing but hardened soil that’s it. We look after you. We offer you food, shelter and in some cases clothing too. We created your verses, chants, The Bible, The Quran, The Zend Avesta, The Bhatkambar and Agamas, The Geeta and The Ramayana everything. Ultimately that destroyed our unity some became Hindus, some Muslims, some Christians and we waged wars because of you and your religion. I have never read in history that in the Stone Age time there were countries or wars. There was only one religion ‘hunt for food feed your family’ religion, beliefs and everything that you claim you are, has just made man weak and stupid. It has rendered away all the power man had and made him nothing but a stupid moron life form.” “I have created man as my own image.” “Right you created man in your own image and may be this is the reason why I see so many people not happy with their bodies and looks. So many depressed girls and boys who have failed their confidence because some fat ugly looking god made them into their image. You are the one who made them to think about rapes, violence, suicides, murders, greed, jealousy and every bad thing. So you are responsible for all that isn’t it? So your karma is even harsh than mine. Why don’t we try you first over here and decree your life in hell for may be some million years.” Everyone was stunned at what they had heard. God stood up listening to this. The death angel was smiling. He knew my point was valid. “I have made the air and water and the land you stand on. I created love, belief, confidence and everything beautiful that exists.” “So you made everything right. Are you pretty sure about it. I mean 100%” “Yes I am” “Then I guess heart-breaks, suicides, failures, differences in caste, creed and color, corruption, hatred, rapes, murders, drugs, violence, wars and all bad things that contrast to all the good things are also created by you.” “I didn’t create that. I am God I only create good things.” “You cannot contradict your statement. You just made a statement in the council right now that you are 100% sure you created everything. So here I guess we should again have a charge of disturbing the harmony of so many people in their lives be levied upon you and convict you for the same. Land, Water, and Air everything developed as a scientific phenomenon. Humans have found answers to everything and the questions that still remained un-answered will be answered in future so have patience” There was silence again. God knew he had no answer to this too. Now slowly some angels who were angry on me were admiring me with respect. I could see that look in their eyes. “Kunal I love each and everyone. Everyone is my child.” “Firstly scientifically you cannot be everyone’s father. I mean literally everyone cannot be your sperm. Secondly if everyone is your child which I already doubt, then why each of your child is treated differently. Then I guess you are corrupt. You haven’t given equal chances to each of your children. Some are poor, some weak, some handicapped, some afflicted with diseases like AIDS and CANCER at birth. I guess you are corrupt and you have been partial only to some children. So we should again convict you on the charges of corruption and misusing your powers. Again that counts for a bad karma. So shall we both walk to hell together?” “Kunal you know I am God I cannot be partial. I am just making everyone strong. I want everyone to fight their battles. I want everyone to learn. I want them to choose to whether follow me or the devil.” “Devil. Well I admire the devil. He had the guts to question your beliefs and walk out of your council. He just was a person who thought differently but your followers and you abused him for a unique thinking. This isn’t anything new on earth too such incidents have happened Galileo is one such example. You just abused and threw out a person because he thought differently and then you talk about free will. You use us humans as pawns in the age old game between you and the devil. So I guess there are little more bad karma you are doing. At least the devil is honest of what he is. You are fooling people with this smile and love thing. Have you ever done a good deed? Have you personally ensured that you make at least one human being happy or smile every day? Forget the whole world, there is a small kid in our apartment he is very intelligent but he had to discontinue his studies because his father died and his mother could not afford his studies have you ever went down to tell that kid that ‘hey I am there for you, you just study become a learned wise man’. No you haven’t. Have you ever wiped the tears of his lonely mother? No you haven’t it’s us humans who do that every day. It’s us who are helping that boy to study because we somewhere deep within know that God isn’t there at all. If you really love us care for us why can’t you just be normal and live with us. Why live here in all this fancy lifestyle. Who made you God? Who chose this post for you? You are even worse than us humans. That guard Ramesh out there told me they have no leaves or pay, and no break, isn’t that in human? Forget us God you aren’t able to keep your staff happy. You should be convicted on the same levels as me and sent to hell with me. In fact you should be given even a worst punishment. There are more than 7 billion people on earth who have some or the other case against you. If tried justly you will be ripped off this suit of yours, and would be punished harshly by us humans. It is still our kind gesture that some still worship you, love you and believe that someday you will change things. You are doing nothing that is quiet clear to me. So I don’t believe in you. Send me to hell. I don’t mind I have lived hell on earth already. I promise you I will enjoy my stay anywhere you put me. But I am not going to apologize at all for not believing in you. I will lead people in not believing in you and have faith only in themselves. They want faith in themselves rather than believing someone who doesn't exist at all. That is what they want. Not you.” I looked at God with confidence and anger in my eyes. He gestured the death angel to cuff me and escort me outside. He came forward and cuffed me. I looked at God “Dude seriously resign as God and come down stay with me for some days I will show you why people have started hating you. Sitting here won’t help you it will only make you fat like me. Khursi chodo mere yaar kuch din toh gujaaro dharti pe.” I just laughed loudly and walked out of the room. The death angel made me sit on the bench again and he went inside. Ramesh and the other guard were again guarding me. Ramesh got a message on his mobile. He looked at me with teary eyes. He just hugged me. I was not able to understand what just happened. He told me “We are finally getting a leave. I can finally meet my family here in heaven. I can hug my family here. Thank you. Thank you so much.” There were tears in my eyes too. I am human it makes me feel good when someone around me is happy and I am just a small reason for his or her happiness. The death angel came back he looked at me and hugged me with teary eyes too. “Dude!! I am not gay” we both started laughing at this.”You are one hell of a trouble maker. God was worried that if we kept you in heaven you will change all the procedures here with your curiosity and questions. There would be a lot of people here who would lose their jobs. Especially God. He thought if we send you to hell there will be chaos and may be you would turn out to be the ruler of hell in a matter of days which would again be a risk. Given your thoughts about God there was a major risk that you could wage a war on God and heaven with the forces of hell. So he has decided to keep you on earth, alive till he comes up with something. I believe he won’t be able to come up with something in the next 40-50 years.” “I bet he won’t be able to come up with something ever so I will be posted here on duty with you.” I giggled. I was escorted back to the helicopter. The helicopter dropped me back on my roof. The death angel had escorted me to the roof. He shook my hands. “I will always remember this day. The day I met Kunal Dhiren Patrawala.” “I will always remember this as the day I met the death angel. And now I can boast among my friends ‘I am friends with the death angel’ so beware.” We both laughed loudly at this. I would have written off this incident as a dream and forgotten about it, if my mom wasn’t on the roof waking me up from sleep. “How the hell did you land up here?” “I don’t know mom.”
