The pure innocent love…….

They were sitting at a secluded and silent place together. She was holding his palm in her palm. She was caressing his fingers. He was feeling intoxicated by her gestures. He had never felt such love ever in his life. Her eyes were stuck on his face; he was smiling away in glory looking at her. She had a glow on her face, looking at that smile of his. “I love you the most in the whole world. You are my miracle. You are that reward that God granted me for all the hardships I have faced in life.” He said. She held his palm even tighter and kissed it. She then hugged him and kissed his cheeks. She could literally feel his breath on her face. It was sheer blissful and heavenly for her. After all even she was deeply and madly in love with him. He hugged her and kissed her forehead. They looked at the sky and felt the breeze caressing their faces but today nothing existed to them. The only thing they could feel today was each other. They sat in silence but their souls spoke, they l...

What is Love?

“So Kunal basically you get my point? He loves me a lot I can feel it and it is good, because, I mean he is my fiancée and he loves me, but I still don’t know if I love him, I still don’t understand what love is and I still don’t know if I love him why do I love him.” I was sitting with a friend the other day discussing some jitters she was having before her marriage. She was happily engaged to a guy who fell for her after they got engaged and she was having mixed feelings of happiness and awkwardness. In my career as a counselor I have come across many cases of wedding jitters, this one came to me at the exact moment when I was not able to find some answers to questions in my thought process. So it was both a counseling session for her and for me as well. “I am happy that at least you are taking the effort to understand what you feel for him. Many would discard the thought just by thinking chalta hai na ab woh karta hai pyaar toh thik hai big deal husband hai hone waala pyaar ka...

Death:Foe or Friend?

Death:Foe or Friend? Being a freelance counselor, gives you a lot of chances to experience different kind of pains without actually facing the situations. I am often consulted for grief counseling. Grief, a small word, has a huge and varied impact, on different individuals, experiencing it. I never visit hospitals to meet the ill or do not go to funerals to pay my respects to the deceased. I cannot be trusted with my words there because I get scared at these two places. As a child I have had a tough time seeing my dad in hospital and my mother crying every day. That memory has given birth to a phobia in my brain towards hospitals. Funerals are the last place anyone would want me to be at. An imaginary brain that is addicted to finding laughter in every essence of life is the most pathetic asset someone would want to carry to a funeral. However, my problem is I cannot detach this asset whatsoever. I would not be surprised if I do not attend my own funeral for the fear of laughin...

LET THERE BE LIGHT.

I was working on a lot of concepts on what to write. I have not been that honest to my blog in the past few weeks. I was kind of stuck with a writer’s block. Even though I know it is a common condition among many writers but, I get pretty upset when I cannot write. In despair and devastated times miracles happen. Sometimes, life brings you to some discoveries when you least expect it to bring you to them. Something similar happened with me. A friend of mine was suffering from Post- break up stress. I was not able to find any way to break into her dilemma and get her out of that depression. I had tried many of my out of the box ideas to get her out of it and I always failed. With ample time in hand and nothing to write I thought of trying another out of the box idea to help her. She has a condition called Nyctophobia. Though, not an extreme condition, but her depression had triggered its symptoms recently. I thought of using this fear as a weapon to help her. I packed my backpack and ...

THE BUMPY RIDE THEORY

The Bumpy Ride Theory. “So Kunal you are saying that you can simplify things and explain it to my brother if he is a biker.” One of my friends had come to seek me as a counselor for her brother. She asked me this question. “Yes. If he is a biker I can explain stuff to him more easily. This way I can help him give up on negative thoughts and depressed feelings. I can relate to him more being a biker myself.” She looked at me and smiled. She knew I had a knack to simplify stuff and put it into brains of people using normal day to day examples. “When I thought about getting him counseled by you I always knew I was doing the right thing.” She complimented. “I prefer being humble about this. I help because I can, but I am human too sometimes I have my lows too and I too need someone to cheer me up. However, I will come to your house tomorrow in the morning and hopefully I get through your brother and help him.” The next morning I was at her place with my bike the Bajaj Avenger. It...

Befriending Death…

One of my efforts to put down a short story I hope my readers like it. I have always written positive stuff and always have inspired people. As a hobby I have always tried and understood human behavior and what pains and emotions a human being goes through in various situations. Today I have tried to understand the thought process of a person who is in loneliness and approaches his death, an early death. They were sitting somewhere in the mountains of an unknown land. It had been a long and tiring journey. However, he, the human, looked energetic and all enthusiastic. He was very happy about the journey and the ultimate destination he was going to be at. His fellow traveller, also his captor, Death seemed tired. “Tell me human, how can you not regret meeting me? How can you not fear me? How can you not beg to live one more day?” The human smiled at this. Death had been trying all different ways to get the human to say something but all he did was smile and laugh throughout the ...

THE RECIPE OF LIFE

The recipe of life Being a foody I always relate stuff to food. Also, this has something to do with my gujju hormones you see. I have similarly related life to the most delicious dish I have ever had in my existence on planet earth. Some do not value the taste and aroma of this dish and consider it to be bitter and not tasty and then use a sauce named suicide to further destroy this beautiful and delicious dish. Life is a dish that is never served as expected and it is never going to taste the same for all. But the recipe for making it tasty can be the same for all. Yes a recipe for life. No I have not gone crazy, in fact many of us use this recipe and we do not even know it. So I am going to tell you step by step the complete recipe to it. 1.      The first step is simple. Just like you sort out wheat grains and remove dirt particles from it, remove all the dirt particles from the basic dough of life. The dough actually  comprises of family, friends, love...
