Befriending Death…

One of my efforts to put down a short story I hope my readers like it. I have always written positive stuff and always have inspired people. As a hobby I have always tried and understood human behavior and what pains and emotions a human being goes through in various situations. Today I have tried to understand the thought process of a person who is in loneliness and approaches his death, an early death. They were sitting somewhere in the mountains of an unknown land. It had been a long and tiring journey. However, he, the human, looked energetic and all enthusiastic. He was very happy about the journey and the ultimate destination he was going to be at. His fellow traveller, also his captor, Death seemed tired. “Tell me human, how can you not regret meeting me? How can you not fear me? How can you not beg to live one more day?” The human smiled at this. Death had been trying all different ways to get the human to say something but all he did was smile and laugh throughout the ...

THE RECIPE OF LIFE

The recipe of life Being a foody I always relate stuff to food. Also, this has something to do with my gujju hormones you see. I have similarly related life to the most delicious dish I have ever had in my existence on planet earth. Some do not value the taste and aroma of this dish and consider it to be bitter and not tasty and then use a sauce named suicide to further destroy this beautiful and delicious dish. Life is a dish that is never served as expected and it is never going to taste the same for all. But the recipe for making it tasty can be the same for all. Yes a recipe for life. No I have not gone crazy, in fact many of us use this recipe and we do not even know it. So I am going to tell you step by step the complete recipe to it. 1.      The first step is simple. Just like you sort out wheat grains and remove dirt particles from it, remove all the dirt particles from the basic dough of life. The dough actually  comprises of family, friends, love...

The Key to Choose.

I was sitting in the hotel lobby when I overheard a group of people discussing on the stuff called “Arranged Marriage”. I was intently trying to listen. I could hear only bits and pieces of the complete conversation. Being a relationship counselor and a writer I had to know the views of people on this hot topic of “Arranged Marriage”. The first girl said she was not sure how to go about an arranged marriage system as she is always confused about choosing stuff in life. Yet another boy said he did not believe in the system of arranged marriage and will never marry a stranger. I could relate to this stuff as I too had the same inhibitions some time back before I developed “The Key to Choose” theory. I stood up and approached them. I introduced myself first and then said, “So you guys are having problems with the arranged marriage stuff is it?”  They said yes they had a lot of problems regarding the issue and they were pressurized by their parents to get married soon as they had alr...

THE ESCALATOR ACT

The Escalator Act. “Kunal don’t you think that the idea is risky. I mean it is good to have an online business and all but still we are not experts in marketing and sales. Do you think we can do it?” This was my friend’s response when I told him about the ecommerce workshop that I had recently attended. “Every new idea is risky and every new step we take is something we will always be unsure of. None of the businesses were started by experts. Every big business has, had its own share of failures and drawbacks. One becomes an expert only by practicing his skills and testing his knowledge and not by just sitting at the bay of the river and just dreaming about swimming. I know initially we will have our share of failures and setbacks. Besides, you talk about sales and marketing, all I have learnt in my life about sales and marketing is that there is never a definite pattern to sales and marketing. There is always a new strategy and a new idea waiting to be harnessed.” I told him. “I a...

For the Namesake......

For the Namesake…. At the beginning of the article I was very confused as to what title shall I give it but then I realized that titles are just for the namesake. The irony is that this title even justifies the context of my write up. I was sitting outside this huge temple situated in the hills somewhere around Mumbai. I will not disclose the exact location as I do not want to hurt the sentimental and religious values of any human being. So coming back to the point, I was sitting in this huge temple veranda made by some very famous business man of our religion as he was directed by some very famous monk of our religion. The place was too huge. I was sitting outside and enjoying the natural view of the place around. I was happy listening to chirping of birds. It was refreshing. When the soul is refreshed it automatically has a pleasant smile on the face and the mind has pleasant thoughts. As I was enjoying this refreshing experience and feeling energized I saw a monk coming ...

My..........

My….. Darling, If ever I get an opportunity to bargain my breath for your smiles I will willingly do it, you know that. I often say I love you not to hear your response in return as ‘I love you too dear’ but to feel the beat my heart has at that very instance when I say those words to you. Every time I hug you my soul feels the warmth, which it had missed since many incarnations and reincarnations. I could easily walk away and not notice what is going on around when I am deep in conversation with your eyes. I do not remember the last time I slept without thinking about your smile. I wish to give you more and more smiles. I know I am being selfish in doing that, after all if it wasn’t for your smiles I would have never woken up to the world ever. Every day it’s your voice that is an early morning melody to me which actually spreads a sweet fragrance in my mind. I could just go on for hours and hours listening to you sitting at that coffee table where we first met. You have so much...

THE T-SHIRT THEORY

‘The T-shirt Theory’ As a part of my daily life, seeking a perfect partner for marriage has become an inseparable part of my living. My parents have become seriously tensed as to where am I headed with all the thought process of mine, where they are pretty sure I will land up making all the wrong choices or may be will land up not marrying at all. I do not blame them for this over-reaction on the given situation as I know they are ‘INDIAN PARENTS’ and their logic is both practical and emotional. Their practical side of the thought process appears into action when their children are choosing their careers and the emotional side comes out when their child is not married at the age of 29. Both the aspects have different after effects on the child depending from person to person. Now, as I said the emotional side often appears during marital issues, so here I was attending yet another meet of unmarried girls and guys of our community. All thanks to mom’s emotional blackmail and the...
