LOVE IS HAPPINESS

LOVE IS HAPPINESS. Love and romance is a topic I often prefer not to speak about ever. I have my share of failures and setbacks in this field. Hence, I decided never to speak on it. However, I got a call from a friend, who herself happens to be a motivational speaker. She had called me about an invitation to speak at a seminar. Such invitations are common for both of us. She is a wonderful companion and an amazingly knowledgeable person and hence I share a very fruitful and healthy friendship with her. She said, “Kunal, we have been invited for the seminar that I was telling you about the other day. It’s about your favorite topic Love and Romance.” She giggled taunting me on this. Out of all the people on the face of the earth, I am always worried discussing and debating things with her because I often tend to lose arguments and discussions with her. Someone had once said never argue with a beautiful woman and especially a beautiful woman with brains. She was one such rare combin...

Success and failure a love story...

Success and failure a love story... Being a writer, I have always been into a situation most writers land up in, known as the “Writer’s block”. This block can disrupt the writer for a mere hour or may be a month. It depends from person to person. Stuck with one such block, I was sitting in the local coffee shop, staring at my laptop screen and thinking on all the practical ideas on which my mockery can create magic. I could not come up with any brilliant ideas after an hour of introspection and imagination. Suddenly a man just entered into the cafe I was sitting in and approached me. He asked me “Excuse me. Is this seat taken?” I looked at him. Black suit, black shades, hair all jelled up in a sleek style, all this made him look very stylish and classy. His wristwatch was Swiss made, which was again in black  color . (Yes, I am obsessed with such kind of clothing as some day I want to wear such clothes. That we can discuss later.) I just nodded in agreement. He...

God will provide?? Think again..

God will provide?Think again Since ages, I have heard sentences such as, “Believe in God he will provide for everything. He will take care of you. He will hear all your prayers.” Since the age of 14 I have been into questioning this stuff and was always into some or the other problem because of this. My parents often had arguments on this issue with me. They are strong believers of religion and God. I do not blame them; they belong to a family that has given 15 monks to the religion and a lot of knowledge to the religion. This kind of a family background is responsible for such strong belief in God. However, there is always an exception in everything and on 28 th December 1985; this exception to their family was born in the form of their son. Well, as I grew up my parents came to know that I was different and they knew I had a very different thought process. My dad always supported my thought process but still tried to convince me about religion. I did not believe much in religi...

THE GRAPES ARE SOUR

The grapes are sour.. It has been about nearly 10 years I left my college and my hostel and left my darling city Mumbai. After finishing college, I had to leave my hostel because we could live there just for one-degree course. Therefore, I left hostel. After leaving hostel and college, everyone got busy with their own lives. I was in regular touch with my hostel friends. We use to go on trips once in every six months. I was so busy with making something out of my life that I had lost touch of all my college friends. I had a best friend at college. She was a very kind and sweet girl. In my transit in life, I never had the luxury of giving her a call and have a chat with her. She was married now and settled. I thought of giving her a surprise giving her a call. I did a little detective work getting in touch with other friends and getting her recent number. She had named me, “Headache”. I was a huge headache to her. She always complained about me being late for outings, unkempt shab...

Marry someone who accepts not the one who understands.

My counselling work often helps me learn a lot about things I have never experienced. One such aspect is MARRIAGE. Being single and still able to solve marital issues is something I have learnt from my counselling work. I have received compliments for my work by many people. However, I believe the best compliment of my work is seeing all those people I have counselled live happily in their lives. All those marriages all patched up back to normal by just some small efforts by me. These things actually make me happy. Often, my friends call me up for some counselling and help. One such incident did happen recently which I could not resist to share. I got a call from a very close friend. She is from the bunch of people I respect. I had a small chat with her over the phone call and told her that we could meet for dinner that evening. I picked her up and we were off to our  favorite  restaurant. After ordering stuff, we started discussing normal stuff and finally she came...

Success an important element of marriage.

With the recent marriage season in session the traditional “Indian Matchmaking System” was in full swing. Traditional Sales Agents like Buajis, Mausijis, Chachijis, Chachaji, and Mausaji, Phuphajis (All maternal and patriarchal relatives) were in complete action and they were all achieving successful matchmaking numbers to their credit. I do respect all my relatives and also love them a lot but I did call them as traditional sales agents because at such occasions they always behave as one. They are always on your head with “Look at that girl/guy she/he is nice I know her/his parents personally. Do you want us to put forth your details for further consideration?” This is a common thing that goes on at marriages/engagements. It’s not that I have not fallen prey to such a relative and their sales strategy. Being a writer is a different thing but even a writer sometimes faces issues first hand so that he can experience the intensity of any situation and write deeply about his thoughts. I...
