For the Namesake......

For the Namesake…. At the beginning of the article I was very confused as to what title shall I give it but then I realized that titles are just for the namesake. The irony is that this title even justifies the context of my write up. I was sitting outside this huge temple situated in the hills somewhere around Mumbai. I will not disclose the exact location as I do not want to hurt the sentimental and religious values of any human being. So coming back to the point, I was sitting in this huge temple veranda made by some very famous business man of our religion as he was directed by some very famous monk of our religion. The place was too huge. I was sitting outside and enjoying the natural view of the place around. I was happy listening to chirping of birds. It was refreshing. When the soul is refreshed it automatically has a pleasant smile on the face and the mind has pleasant thoughts. As I was enjoying this refreshing experience and feeling energized I saw a monk coming ...

My..........

My….. Darling, If ever I get an opportunity to bargain my breath for your smiles I will willingly do it, you know that. I often say I love you not to hear your response in return as ‘I love you too dear’ but to feel the beat my heart has at that very instance when I say those words to you. Every time I hug you my soul feels the warmth, which it had missed since many incarnations and reincarnations. I could easily walk away and not notice what is going on around when I am deep in conversation with your eyes. I do not remember the last time I slept without thinking about your smile. I wish to give you more and more smiles. I know I am being selfish in doing that, after all if it wasn’t for your smiles I would have never woken up to the world ever. Every day it’s your voice that is an early morning melody to me which actually spreads a sweet fragrance in my mind. I could just go on for hours and hours listening to you sitting at that coffee table where we first met. You have so much...

THE T-SHIRT THEORY

‘The T-shirt Theory’ As a part of my daily life, seeking a perfect partner for marriage has become an inseparable part of my living. My parents have become seriously tensed as to where am I headed with all the thought process of mine, where they are pretty sure I will land up making all the wrong choices or may be will land up not marrying at all. I do not blame them for this over-reaction on the given situation as I know they are ‘INDIAN PARENTS’ and their logic is both practical and emotional. Their practical side of the thought process appears into action when their children are choosing their careers and the emotional side comes out when their child is not married at the age of 29. Both the aspects have different after effects on the child depending from person to person. Now, as I said the emotional side often appears during marital issues, so here I was attending yet another meet of unmarried girls and guys of our community. All thanks to mom’s emotional blackmail and the...

THE REAR VIEW MIRROR THEORY

Rear View Mirror  “Kunal, it is not easy to get over a divorce. I spent 2 years with him and I cannot just forget him in an instance. Would you be able to forget someone you loved, so easily?” I was asked this question by a friend who had just gone through a divorce proceeding and was now sitting with me discussing how difficult it is for her to get over her ex-husband. I often come across broken relationships and one common thing I find in them is that they all have the pain of forgetting the moments, the beautiful moments. I cannot say I do not understand the pain and we all have to become insensitive, after all, I have been a victim to this pain. However, we have to live with it and find a solution to it. Until date, I was not able to find an easy way to put to it to people, how to forget your ex. However, today, the friend of mine had given me the opportunity to invent a new way of getting across my point to people. It is just very simple actually. The answer was right ...

A BALANCED MARRIAGE

A balanced marriage.... I was recently at a get-to-gather organised by our community. This was for the sole purpose so that we can find and seek proposals for marriage. Well, being single at 29 and having senior citizen parents often forces you to land up at such places for their sake. So here, I was staring at people around me looking out for a proper proposal for myself. I was walking around the venue when I suddenly came upon a small group discussing stuff. They were discussing about marriage. The basic discussion was about dominance, understanding and love in a marriage. Being a writer how could I expect myself not to participate in the whole discussion? Therefore, I took a chair and sat beside a beautiful girl (for understanding purpose would refer to her as ‘The girl’ henceforth in the post). The girl was intently listening to discussion. A boy from opposite to me said, “Women these days dominate a lot and men get dominated. It is not right to dominate a man. I mean we b...

LOVE IS HAPPINESS

LOVE IS HAPPINESS. Love and romance is a topic I often prefer not to speak about ever. I have my share of failures and setbacks in this field. Hence, I decided never to speak on it. However, I got a call from a friend, who herself happens to be a motivational speaker. She had called me about an invitation to speak at a seminar. Such invitations are common for both of us. She is a wonderful companion and an amazingly knowledgeable person and hence I share a very fruitful and healthy friendship with her. She said, “Kunal, we have been invited for the seminar that I was telling you about the other day. It’s about your favorite topic Love and Romance.” She giggled taunting me on this. Out of all the people on the face of the earth, I am always worried discussing and debating things with her because I often tend to lose arguments and discussions with her. Someone had once said never argue with a beautiful woman and especially a beautiful woman with brains. She was one such rare combin...

Success and failure a love story...

Success and failure a love story... Being a writer, I have always been into a situation most writers land up in, known as the “Writer’s block”. This block can disrupt the writer for a mere hour or may be a month. It depends from person to person. Stuck with one such block, I was sitting in the local coffee shop, staring at my laptop screen and thinking on all the practical ideas on which my mockery can create magic. I could not come up with any brilliant ideas after an hour of introspection and imagination. Suddenly a man just entered into the cafe I was sitting in and approached me. He asked me “Excuse me. Is this seat taken?” I looked at him. Black suit, black shades, hair all jelled up in a sleek style, all this made him look very stylish and classy. His wristwatch was Swiss made, which was again in black  color . (Yes, I am obsessed with such kind of clothing as some day I want to wear such clothes. That we can discuss later.) I just nodded in agreement. He...
